Vienna has been famous as a city of museums for a long time now. And the concentration of museums attracts museum lovers from all over the world. A holiday in Vienna offers a perfect opportunity to visit the globally renowned museums as well as the shops which are located inside the museums.

Above all, the MQ Point in the MuseumsQuartier (literally, the Museums Quarter) is worth a mention. The combination of Austrian and international designers here is perfect. The result is extraordinary and funny designs on mugs, t-shirts and bags.

A further highlight is the Museum of Applied Arts (often referred to by the abbreviation, MAK) which has its own design shop. The range of products includes classics, such as bags and cutlery, but also exquisite pictures and notebooks. The numerous prints from different artists are a perfect souvenir to grace your walls at home as a reminder of Vienna.

Finally, the shop in the Albertina is definitely worth a visit. As an art museum, it offers diverse collectors’ volumes on particular topics. For example, you will find exhibition catalogues from great masters like Nitsch, Monet and Picasso. The special works on Vienna are particularly charming, for example, Vienna in Pictures – Collection of Photographs from the 20th Century.
