At the moment, Pizza Quartier is probably serving the best Neapolitan pizza in the city. The pizza dough is topped with only fresh ingredients. The special pizza oven can be heated so high that the pizzas are ready in only a few minutes and then served immediately.
Pizza Quartier is located at the popular Karmelitermarkt in Vienna’s second district. This means that you can enjoy your pizza every Saturday while at the same time watching the hustle and bustle at one of the city’s prettiest markets. The outside eating area of Pizza Quartier is just as inviting as the interior of the restaurant. You could almost believe that you are in Italy at any time of the year.

For more than 20 years now, pizzas have been cooked in the original Neapolitan oven in the Regina Margherita pizzeria in the first district. It would not be wrong to speak of the pizza pioneers of Vienna ‑ probably of the whole of Austria. The pizzas are prepared here with the best ingredients as well as with much passion and love for detail. And you can taste it too!
The interior of the restaurant is truly Italian. However, the real highlight is the outdoor eating area, above all in the warmer months of the year. In the constantly overcrowded and rushing heart of the inner city (first district), you will discover a haven of peace in a wonderful inner courtyard. A perfect place to forget any stress from work or daily life and to enjoy one or two hours of peace and quiet with the finest hospitality.

Il Sestante: the ultimate Italy experience

Il Sestante is situated in the heart of the city’s eighth district, Josefstadt. An extremely popular Italian restaurant. Here, too, only the very best ingredients from Italy are used in the preparation of their pizzas. Depending on which pizza chef is currently standing in front of the oven, you will either be served a Neapolitan (thin) pizza or instead more a northern Italy style pizza (not so thin). But both types of pizza taste excellent!
However, Il Sestante is not only very popular because of the food and the beautiful restaurant. In particular, it is its garden that attracts crowds on some days, especially at lunchtime and at weekends. The Judok Fink Platz, referred to as Piaristenplatz by the local Viennese (after the church on the square), is probably one of the most beautiful squares in Vienna – if not the most beautiful of all. Here in the outdoor eating area, which lies directly on the “Piazza”, you will experience a real feeling for Italy.

La Mia – Pizza and Ristorante in an alleyway

There are many of them in Vienna. Most of them are hidden away and not really visible from the outside. Only local residents are aware of them and – above all – make use of them. We are talking about the many Viennese alleyways, which you can walk through in order to quickly get from one main street to the next, directly and without detours.
A few restaurants and a bakery have opened their doors in such an alleyway in the city’s seventh district (Neubau). And here a really great pizza is prepared. La Mia is located at the upper part of the alleyway on Lerchenfelderstraße and it is directly accessible from the street. However, the real treasure lies behind the rather inconspicuous alleyway entrance. In the shady guest garden, pizzas are served in a very special location and atmosphere.
