An exhibition that is extremely popular with the Viennese year after year is the World Press Photo Exhibition, which is held at Westlicht in Westbahnstraße. The Exhibition presents the press photos of the year 2022, which were chosen by a jury. This year, the award for the World Press Photo went to the Canadian Amber Bracken. In this photo, you can see red dresses hung on wooden crosses, which are a commemoration of the children from indigenous communities who have been victims of systematic mistreatment by the Canadian school system.
From 9 September to 23 October 2022, the temporary exhibition will once again make a stop in Vienna. It pays to come early, as, especially on the last weekends of the exhibition, there may be longer waiting times.
