This is what you need to know!
Do you have to go to Vienna on business? Will your trip mean that you are in Austria’s capital city for a few days and nights? Here are a few useful tips to get the most out of your business trip.
You arrive in Vienna in the morning and still have some time before your first appointment?

The place to go for a quick espresso or cappuccino in the first district is Unger und Klein im Hochhaus. To accompany the premium coffee from the Berlin company, Andraschko, there are savoury as well as sweet snacks to keep you going. We highly recommend the Kipferl (a traditional bread roll that is rolled and formed into a crescent before baking) and (almond) croissants. The restaurant is centrally located directly in Herrengasse at the U3 station.

French breakfast at Neuer Markt

If you have a little more time on your hands and can enjoy a larger breakfast, we recommend a detour to the Neuer Markt. The square in the centre of Vienna has been redesigned. Including a large underground car park for your car. The square also has a lot to offer in terms of eating establishments. For breakfast, we highly recommend the French restaurant Le Bol. Breakfast classics from France, wonderful coffee and a large selection of pastries leave nothing to be desired. A perfect start to your working day.

Fast food Italian-style

Very often you won’t have any appointments at midday, but you would prefer something quick, as you don’t want to spend too much time on lunch. The popular Italian food chain Vapiano is the ideal place. There are several branches in Vienna offering a wide selection of dishes. Pasta, pizza and salads are ordered and prepared in a flash. Fast food Italian-style, so to speak. The restaurants are large and some also have outdoor eating areas. They are also perfect for a business lunch with colleagues or business partners.

Have you already seen Vienna by night?

Have you already experienced Vienna in the evening or at night? Austria’s capital offers endless possibilities to wind down after a busy day. For example, in one of the various rooftop bars. Great: after work with a view over Vienna in the evening. Among the established and well-known locations with amazing views are the Sky Bar, Atmosphere Bar or the Lamee Bar.
Still relatively new and with an impressive panoramic view – as the name suggests – is the 360 Ocean Sky Bar, the highest of all the rooftop locations in the centre of Vienna. The bar is located on the 11th floor of the ‘House of the Sea’, which is located in a flak tower (an anti-aircraft gun blockhouse tower) from the Second World War. The breath-taking view over the city from the 6th district and the drinks and cocktails are truly special. The restaurant is also a great place to have dinner.

A late-night snack and drink before heading back to your apartment? Why not try one of the many Viennese sausage stands? Long live fast food Viennese-style! The Bitzinger at the Albertina is particularly popular. It’s a traditional meeting place for local and out-of-town night owls. A visit to the Bitzinger is simply a must on a trip to Vienna.

When in Vienna, plan your social activities just as intensively as your business commitments. It would be a shame not to enjoy the city a little on a business trip to Vienna.
