Grätzel report – Apartments in Hütteldorfer Straße

The Meislmarkt and Co. now have new neighbours: the CheckVIENNA apartments in Hütteldorfer Straße

Enjoy a delicious breakfast in Augustin, attend a jazz concert or would you prefer to go shopping in Vienna’s only indoor market? Rudolfsheim-Fünfhaus, Vienna’s 15th district, can offer this and much more. And because of this, we took the occasion of the opening of the new CheckVIENNA apartments in Hütteldorfer Straße to find out more about the area around the holiday apartments. And we can say right away that there are many good reasons why you should pay a visit to this part of the city.

The new CheckVIENNA apartments in Hütteldorfer Straße

First of all, a small digression: the word Grätzel is Austrian and refers to parts of districts in Vienna. And we explored exactly such a Grätzel, namely the one around Hütteldorfer Straße for you.

Since 1878 the Hütteldorfer Straße has been called such. But the CheckVIENNA apartments there are completely new. They are situated in a central location, combined with modern charm and a feel-good factor. From here you can really get to know Vienna. Regardless of whether you visit the well-known attractions on foot or by taking the U3 underground line, which is close by, you will feel like a true Viennese in the modern equipped apartments in the style typical for old buildings in Vienna.

The apartments themselves can be booked in a wide range of sizes
. They are perfect for a romantic holiday for two, a family holiday with children or also a fun holiday for a larger group of friends.

Every apartment stands out due to their modern and fully equipped kitchen, TV and free Wi-Fi. In addition there is also a washing machine which you can use – free of charge!

Here you can find further details about the new apartments in Hütteldorfer Straße:

Perfect for self-catering guests – the Meislmarkt

Vienna is well known for its many different markets. But among all of these, the Meislmarkt particularly stands out. Because it is the only market which is held in a hall. So even a spot of rain will not spoil your shopping experience.

Fruit and vegetables, meat and fish as well as fresh bakery products – you will find all of these on offer here. Advice and quality are a matter of course at this market. The Meislmarkt can easily be reached on foot and is therefore a perfect place to go shopping before you return to cook in the modern kitchen in your CheckVIENNA apartment.

You really don’t want to cook? Realxing and enjoying are essential elements of any holiday in Vienna! And in Augustin, you can perfectly combine both. The restaurant is particularly popular because of the excellent breakfast it serves.

Only a short 10-minute walk separates the apartments in Hütteldorfer Straße and the Augustin. Afterwards you can tuck in and relax in the sunny outdoor area. If the weather is bad, you can make yourself comfy in the breakfast salon with its living room atmosphere.

Only those who are allergic to cat hair should think about a visit here if the weather isn’t good because two very affectionate cats live in Augustin. However, for cat lovers, this is simply another reason to visit this restaurant.

Trendy restaurant with a cozy oudoor oasis

This small jazz bar is situated somewhat hidden in Wurmsergasse in the 15th district and you can easily walk to it from our apartments. Concerts and events are held on a regular basis in the Blue Tomato which, above all, will make the hearts of jazz fans beat that much faster.

Because the garden is open in summer, there is a small break in the concerts it holds but this does not mean that the restaurant is less frequented. The cozy and very green outdoor area is a popular meeting place in this Grätzel. Here you can escape the jungle of the big city and spoil yourself with the seasonal dishes on offer.
